Overtime pay calculator
Enter the hours you worked each day. The calculator splits them into regular, overtime and double time under the rule you pick, then adds it up the way a payroll office would.
Let WorkerHub do this every shift
Log a shift in seconds and the app tracks overtime, double time, premium days and every pay period, then compares it with your real check. No account, and your data stays on your phone.
How it's calculated
Each day is split first. Hours up to the daily overtime limit are regular, hours past it are overtime, and hours past the double-time limit are double time.
Then the week is checked. Once your regular hours for the week pass the weekly limit, the extra regular hours become overtime. Hours that were already overtime for the day are not counted twice.
Regular = reg hrs × rate
Overtime = OT hrs × rate × 1.5
Double = DT hrs × rate × 2
Premium = all hrs × premium
Gross = sum of the above
Questions
Which overtime rule applies to me?
Federal law (the FLSA) requires overtime after 40 hours in a workweek for non-exempt employees. A few states add daily overtime, and union contracts often pay overtime or double time sooner. Check your contract or your state labor office.
Does my premium count toward the overtime rate?
Often yes. Under federal rules many shift premiums are part of the "regular rate," which raises the overtime rate. This calculator adds the premium as a flat amount per hour, so treat the result as a close estimate.
What should I put for deductions?
Look at a recent stub and divide total deductions by gross pay. Most hourly workers land somewhere between 15% and 30% once taxes, dues and benefit contributions are in.
Is anything I type saved?
Only in your own browser, so the form is filled in next time. Nothing is sent to WorkerHub or anyone else.
